The illustrations were created traditionally in ink, then vectorized and made into a pattern. My main goal for this project was to start honing my personal style in illustration. Through creating the style, I was drawn to exaggerating thick and thin lines which led to the exaggeration of the house styles. At the end of this project, I sent out the pattern to spoonflower to have a sundress made. The app’s main focus was on UX/UI design. I created personas of the target audiences, generated wireframes, and performed troubleshooting usability testing. The app allows you to add what is in your pantry at home and link it to your shopping list, so as not to have any more or less than you need. The focus of this assignment was to tell a story using a character sticker sheet and one landscape, also known as color-forms. Frankenstein often has the story retold, but it is always hard to distinguish who is in the right and wrong. I conveyed this tone throughout using fire elements, rage, and psychotic emotions. I chose an analogous color scheme of blues, greens, and yellows to capture the vibrance of the cannabis world surrounding Tommy Chong. The biggest initial challenge faced was developing Tommy Chong’s likeness, which would later become an important building block for future Illustrations. The story surrounds the legendary transgender activists Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Illustrating landscapes was not a strength of mine before starting this project, which was all the more reason to step out of my comfort zone throughout the creation of this graphic novel. The goal of the project was to create a modern subscription box brand and brand guideline with a handmade and clean aesthetic. I created moon-cut stamps and brushed the logo’s iconic “C” with ink. The main goal of the Cardinal Brant was to be approachable and helpful. Light pinks, greens, and yellows quickly became the primary colors as they are fun, bright, and clean. Each box has helpful illustrated card with a QR code to learn how to use your products in a discrete and personal way.
