<image:title>Work - Kids in the Neighborhood Pattern Set - Kids in the Neighborhood Pattern Set</image:title>
<image:caption>“Kids in the Neighborhood” was the first pattern project I ever created. The illustrations were created traditionally in ink, then vectorized and made into a pattern. My main goal for this project was to start honing my personal style in illustration. Through creating the style, I was drawn to exaggerating thick and thin lines which led to the exaggeration of the house styles. At the end of this project, I sent out the pattern to spoonflower to have a sundress made. The childish style and cool colors are brought together to resemble a nostalgic period of childlike wonder in the spirit of gift giving.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Zest Factor UX/UI App Prototype - Zest Factor UX/UI App Prototype</image:title>
<image:caption>“Zest Factor” is a user experience and interactive prototype for a recipe app to discover food from around the world. The app’s main focus was on UX/UI design. I created personas of the target audiences, generated wireframes, and performed troubleshooting usability testing. The app allows you to add what is in your pantry at home and link it to your shopping list, so as not to have any more or less than you need. The secondary benefit of the app is the cultural food discovery where you may take a self-survey to be paired with cultural food you may enjoy.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Nothing is so painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change” by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein. The focus of this assignment was to tell a story using a character sticker sheet and one landscape, also known as color-forms. Frankenstein often has the story retold, but it is always hard to distinguish who is in the right and wrong. I conveyed this tone throughout using fire elements, rage, and psychotic emotions. The organized chaotic and abstract digitally painted style amplifies the tone of psychotic rage and somber fear.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This Tommy Chong portrait was digitally painted using Adobe Photoshop and presented as a modern Netflix graphic. I chose an analogous color scheme of blues, greens, and yellows to capture the vibrance of the cannabis world surrounding Tommy Chong. The biggest initial challenge faced was developing Tommy Chong’s likeness, which would later become an important building block for future Illustrations. Developing my painterly style in this medium came quickly and helped bring this illustration to life.</image:caption>

Voting in America is one of our most important rights as an American citizen, inspiring others by spreading the urgency to vote is what this poster is here to do. The color palette consists of the traditional red, white, and blue, symbolizes America’s patriotism. The type is a mix of hand type and slab serif to bring back the idea of the original constitution. The final piece was able to be featured in an exhibit during the week of the 2020 elections.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Dreamland Gig Poster” is a digitally illustrated poster that gives a resonating feeling of nostalgia and repetition. Glass animals as a band has a psychedelic pop aesthetic that echoes throughout their albums and is amplified in their live shows. Including a layered paper effect that flows down to reveal the album title dreamland was a choice to signify nostalgia and repressed memory. The color has bursts of vibrancy and texture to add to the psychedelic aesthetic.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Stonewall Revolutionaries” is a digitally illustrated non-fiction graphic novel about the events of the Stonewall Inn riots. The story surrounds the legendary transgender activists Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Illustrating landscapes was not a strength of mine before starting this project, which was all the more reason to step out of my comfort zone throughout the creation of this graphic novel. My use of color displays the passion and unrest of the transgender rights protests going on during the 60’s and 70’s with bright vivid colors and contrasts against a desaturated blue modern world.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - CARDINAL Subscription Box - Cardinal Branding Guide</image:title>
<image:caption>“CARDINAL” is a subscription box brand for tweens going through their first menstrual cycle. The goal of the project was to create a modern subscription box brand and brand guideline with a handmade and clean aesthetic. I created moon-cut stamps and brushed the logo’s iconic “C” with ink. The main goal of the Cardinal Brant was to be approachable and helpful. Light pinks, greens, and yellows quickly became the primary colors as they are fun, bright, and clean. Each box has helpful illustrated card with a QR code to learn how to use your products in a discrete and personal way.</image:caption>
